Dear.Shoes

Dear. Shoes

Hi, you're in my shoe bag right now. I have something to talk about you.

I think my shoe bag is too small. Doesn't it too hard to stand that dirty, small place? I actually doesn't wash it very much. I'm sorry for that. I 've been just care about things that are placed "up". I haven't seen bottom of my body much even though you're standing my weight and protect from things that hurt my feet like broken glass or something. Sometimes, instead of my feet you got hurt many times, right? If there were many scratches on you, I just wanted to throw away you. Then, after I throw away and buy new one, I realize that you're the most convenient ones. I could wear you more. I'm very regreting about it.

Also, when I lose you, I realize that you're on of the most important things which are worn on my body. Without you, I should walk freezing road with snow. You're always protecting my feet and stand hurt or cold air yourself.

Nobody want you to in their room because you have mud, dust, and harmful viruses. They just put it in porch. Although you're not working, you have to bear all of these weather. However, you never complain about it. You just keep do your work quietly. Those who buy you ar people and those who throw away you are also people. We sometimes forget  what your role is and how important work you're doing for a moment.

In addition, there is discrimmination among your world. People prefer shoes that are made in famous brand. Though you're born to protect people (that's your job) but sometimes you are thrown away with no opportunites to protect people's feet.

I want to say sorry to you. I will wash you often and think of you from now on. One more thing I decided to start is that to live seeing people who are on "bottom". Do you understand what it means? I'll sacrifice myself for those who are in poverty or someting when I grow up. I'll help them very often like WHAT YOU DO EVERYDAY. You're on bottom but actually you're on the top.

Thank you for your work and I'll learn from you. Again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

  1. Wow, you really did listen to what Mr.Garrioch said in class! Your efforts to broaden your ideas about shoes to those about the poor are very interesting. I am impressed that you did think before writing this letter. There are some grammatical errors in your writing. But if you try to write it in word file first and then paste it in your blog, you will be able to effectively correct these errors! Good stuff!

  2. This is really good! Shoes are very metaphorical. I wonder how many pairs of shoes the average person in this world owns during a lifetime. I also wonder how it compares from country to country, as some people in Africa probably never wear shoes at any time during their life. And yet, they can do everything they need to without them.

Shoes must really be bad for the environment is we simply buy too many of them and then throw them away when we get bored of them.

I actually remember feeling very sad when I say goodbye to shoes I really like. It is hard to find the perfect shoe.

Please put a picture in this post. I'm sure you can find an interesting one to capture the meaning.

Here are some that might work:
